Kittens
Have you ever considered offering a home to an older Aby?  Check out our Welfare scheme.

Abyssinians are not numerous as a breed in Britain, with perhaps 100 - 200 kittens born each year.   This is in contrast to the most popular breeds of cat, whose kitten births number many thousands each year.  As a result, there are often more people wanting an Abyssinian than there are kittens available, so it is wise to seek one out as early as possible.  Check out the List of Breeders

If you can offer a secure, happy home to an Aby kitten, we assure you they are well worth seeking out.   Abyssinians are beautiful from the moment they are born.  Yes they can be naughty and slightly mad; they can also be extremely loving and sensitive towards their human companions.   They are generally healthy and robust and ke excellent friends to children, dogs and other cats, so long as they are introduced carefully and at a young age.  The breeder of your new kitten will be able to advise you on this.  Abys do tend to like wandering out of doors, but it is wise to keep them firmly indoors at least until they are neutered at 6-9 months old.  If you live near a busy road, your Abyssinian will be safer and quite content to be an indoor cat so long as you provide company (either yourself or a feline friend), a scratching post, plenty of toys and activities and above all lots of love, which will be returned a hundredfold.
