The original Abyssinian Cat Club of Great Britain
The Club was founded in 1929 primarily to promote the pure breeding of the Abyssinian Cat. It was also one of the first members of the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) and therefore has a right in perpetuity to two delegates to represent the Club's interests at Council meetings.
Dr Margaret Frayne has written an interesting essay on the history of the Club. Click here to read it.

AGM 2025
This will be held on 4th May at the Oliver Bird Hall, Solihull. To request papers and for all other enquiries please contact Judy Reeves judyreeves619@gmail.com

Show 2025 Entries are now open for our 2025 show - celebrating our 40th (ruby) anniversary. At the first show there were 99 cats entered and on exhibition was one of the Blue Peter cats - Taishun Jack. I can't promise any media celebrities (although I do have a Cat in a Hat somewhere!), but wouldn't it be lovely to have lots of entries. Don't worry if you haven't shown before. It's a small friendly show and there are always people who will help out. This will be held on Saturday 14th June at Mappleborough Green Village Hall Mappleborough Green, Studley B80 7DJ
The schedule and entry form are available by following the links.
