First and foremost, we recommend our own Club Magazine, Papyrus, which is sent exclusively to all Club members twice a year and is full of stories, information and photos of our favourite cats.Although there are several books about Abyssinian cats on the market, they are usually American in content so the photos do not show typical British Abys.

Our favourite booklet is a wonderful little classic called "Child of the Gods". This was written in the 1930's by Helen and Sidney Denham, and is usually available from the Abyssinian Cat Club (contact Mrs. Kay Dodson, tel. 01428 684102). It is currently being reprinted with extra photographs. The book is dedicated to their own Aby, Tia Maria, "without whose help this would have been written in half the time but without whose inspiration it would not have been written at all".
Abys also feature in fiction. |
